“Randunele” is a name derived from the Romanian word for the bird Swallow. I took it from the bird in the short story by Oscar Wilde, called ‘The Happy Prince,’ which highlights themes like social inequality, compassion, empathy, and love. I grew up reading this to my father at nights I couldn’t sleep, my art is a dedication to him.

My name is Lucia, and I’m a freelance portrait and fine-art photographer originally from the Philippines, but I moved to

Romania in 2023 to pursue my ambitions and also to get to know my Romanian side, as I never had the opportunity to before. So as of now, I am based in Cluj-Napoca.

I am self-taught and have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. Visual storytelling is my biggest passion. I also spend my time writing poetry or short stories and oftentimes my personal works involve more than just photography.

I consider myself an artist of many forms.

Since moving to Romania I have also begun creating films and directing.

There is nothing I enjoy more than bringing stories to life in the most authentic way possible. Especially the stories that are not being told. So if you’ll let me, I am here to capture your moments, to show the world from my point of view, and to inspire.

Let me tell your story.
